2018 FLOYD R. CARGILL SCHOLARSHIP

The Illinois Council of the Blind (ICB) offers the Floyd Cargill Scholarship once a year. The scholarship is presented at our fall convention, this year on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Lisle, Illinois at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville. Attendance at the convention is not a requirement for receiving the scholarship.

The applicant must be an Illinois resident and must be legally blind. An ophthalmologist's report on visual acuity must be submitted as part of the supporting documentation for this application. The applicant does not have to attend an Illinois college. We also require the high school grade point average if the person is a beginning college student or grade point level for previous college years. We accept applications from all levels of college study.

The application must be returned to the Illinois Council of the Blind by August 1, 2018. The winner will be notified by telephone, and/or email with a subsequent letter.
