The Illinois Braille Messenger

One of the valued services provided by the Illinois Council of the Blind is the publication of The Illinois Braille Messenger. This is a quarterly magazine issued in braille, large print, tape cassette, diskette and e-mail. All organizations and agencies working on behalf of blind people submit articles and announcements to notify readers of services, aids and resources available to them. Through The Illinois Braille Messenger, the Illinois Council of the Blind reports Council action taken, publishes affiliate news, and provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information that will benefit and inspire its readers.

The deadlines to submit information to the Messenger are: January 15, April 15, July 15 and October 15 of each year. Items intended for publication may be submitted in any format to us either by mailing them to: Illinois Braille Messenger
